Hi Rob,
It was nice chatting with you today. I wanted to share with you some exciting news! Silverdale Elementary School has been selected to receive our new Earth Rangers Assembly for free, thanks to sponsorship from one of our generous sponsors– Call2Recycle. Because your school has been sponsored there is absolutely no cost .
I have attached more information, but here is an overview of the Assembly:
The Earth Rangers School Assembly is a dynamic and interactive presentation for Grades 1 through 6. Through the power of live animal demonstrations and positive, science-based information, our program educates students about the threats facing animals and the environment, highlights real conservation initiatives across Canada, and motivates them to want to get involved. During the 2022/2023 school year, our School Assembly will highlight amazing animals and their superpowers - thus explaining the importance of biodiversity and how animals unique adaptations allow them to thrive in their specific ecosystems. The presentation will provide students with tangible ways they can help protect these ecosystems and show the big collective impact small, everyday actions can have.
The Assembly is 45 minutes long, takes place in your schools’ gym, and will feature:
• An immersive HD multimedia experience
• Live animals demonstrating their amazing natural behaviours
• Interactive components, including a trivia game that gets students involved
• Educational, curriculum-linked information appropriate for Grades 1-6
This October, in honour of Waste Reduction Week Earth Rangers and Call2Recycle are partnering on a program where elementary schools in British Columbia will compete for who can collect the most used batteries and for the chance to win 1 of 3 amazing cash prizes. This initiative will also include a Free Earth Rangers Assembly for your school!
Your School Mission is to collect as many used batteries by encouraging students, parents, staff, and community members to bring them to your school and dispose of them in the Call2Recycle collection boxes. The challenge will kick off the week of October 3 and participating schools will have 4 weeks to collect used batteries. There are three amazing Cash Grand Prizes available for the 3 BC schools that bring in the most batteries by weight! Please see attachment above for more details!
Our set takes up 15 feet from a back wall, is 30 feet wide, and requires 10 feet height clearance. You would be welcome to fit any number of students in the gym provided they sit comfortably for the duration of the assembly and allow the necessary amount of space for our set.
We look forward to our Assembly with your school on Friday December 9th , 2022.
The schedule will be:
Presentation Time - 10:15-11:15
Please note:
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me. We will be in touch one week prior to your presentation with a reminder along with some helpful tips.
We look forward to seeing you in the Fall.
Thank you,
Lisa
