Tim Hortons Smile Cookie Campaign Supports Students at Fraserview Learning Centre

June 02, 2025

The sweet success of Tim Hortons annual Smile Cookie Campaign is making a real difference in the lives of local students. This year proceeds from the campaign at the Tim Hortons location on Lougheed Highway in Mission were generously donated to Fraserview Learning Centre. The Smile Cookie week raised $19,839.22 total!

Funds raised will be used to support students with necessities such as food, clothing, and housing. In addition, the donation will help cover costs for school-related events like graduation, ensuring all students can participate in memorable milestones regardless of financial barriers.

The support also extends to unique programming offered at Fraserview Learning Centre. Plans are underway to develop a new textiles course where students can design and create their own clothing. Funds will also assist with registration fees for future courses, including culinary school and other post-secondary opportunities.

Thank you to Tim Hortons and the local community for coming together — one cookie at a time — Fraserview Learning Centre students are beyond grateful.

About Fraserview Learning Centre

Fraserview Learning Centre (FLC) is an alternate middle/secondary school where students primarily work on competency-based, individualized, and self-paced programs. Many students attend full time while others have various part time schedules. Classroom instruction is done to whole class, small group, or “side-by-side" teaching. FLC has students working on Dogwood and Adult Dogwood Diplomas.  If you are a student currently enrolled in the Mission School District and are interested in attending FLC, please speak to your counsellor and/or vice principal.
