Have your child come and see what Club KIDS is all about! Club KIDS is a recreation program and doesn’t necessarily have to be used as after school care/daycare- registering your child in Club KIDS is a great way to get your kids off the couch, engaged in physical activity and an opportunity to make new friends and be social!

Pre-registration still applies for this week- we have space for a maximum of 17 children per day.  Register for 1 day or as many as you like.  Please note:  because we are a licensed childcare provider your child MAY NOT drop in without being pre-registered.  Club KIDS registration forms MUST be filled out at the Leisure Centre prior to your child being permitted to register -please bring photo and immunization record (if child is immunized) at time of registration.

Please contact Club KIDS Coordinator, Nicole Spooner at 604-820-5360 or for more details!

Recycling Program

As part of their fundraising activites, the Grade 6 class is responsible for recycling at the school. If you are interested in assisting, please take your recycling donations to the Mission Recycle Centre and ask that the proceeds be credited to Silverdale Elementary. There are other Silverdale user accounts, so please specify that your donation is for the school. Thank you !!!

Community Partnerships

Silverdale Elementary welcomes the beneficial support of a variety of community organizations such as Fraser House, Mission RCMP, The Mission Foundation, and UNICEF. The school participates giving back to the community through their work for the following organizations: The Terry Fox Foundation, The Heart and Stroke Foundation, and The Mission Christmas Bureau.

Silverdale Elementary School is committed to supporting the children’s healthy well-being. It is a registered Action School that engages students in a variety of physical activities. In addition, Silverdale is a participant in the Act Now, BC Fruit and Vegetable Program.

International Student Program

International Students

This Mission School District International Program is currently accepting applications for caring homestay families who want to provide a “home away from home” for our elementary and secondary International students. Student placements can range from 2 weeks to 2 years or more! These paid positions are a wonderful way to learn about another culture and to share Canada with students from another country.

Most International students are looking for a host family that includes Mom and Dad, as well as school-age children. We are particularly in need of families with children in Grades 4 – 7.

If you are interested in hosting students, please apply on-line:

  • Homestay → New Host Families → Click On-line Application Form
  • Complete all 5 sections of the On-line Application Form
  • Our office will contact you to follow up

The aim is to transmit knowledge and promote social particiapation."
